“Some days you will feel a weight upon your chest.
A heavy ache of an invisible force.
Emotions will seep through your eyes,
Trying to release the emotions within.
Your lungs will fill with air, but breathless you will feel.
Layered clothing cannot hide, how vulnerable you feel inside.
A smile can hide the sorrow but truth the eyes can’t swallow.
I’ve seen too much and felt more than I can handle.
I keep running but always end up in the same place.
I start out at the top but soon find myself left behind.
I’ve tried to hold myself back but here I am, with you.”
